How to Copy an App to Another Calculator
To copy a Zoom Math app from one calculator to another:
Connect the calculators with a cable.
On both calculators:
- Make sure the calculator is turned ON, and isn’t running an app.
- Press 2nd LINK. (The LINK key is one row down and one column over from 2nd.)
On the calculator that already has the app installed:
- Press ALPHA C, or use the down arrow to go to C:Apps… and press ENTER.
- You’ll see an app list. Go all the way down to the Zoom app, and press ENTER.
- Press the right arrow key once to highlight TRANSMIT at the top of the screen, but don’t press ENTER yet.
On the calculator that doesn’t have the app yet:
- Press the right arrow key once to highlight RECEIVE at the top of the screen.
- Press ENTER.
Then on the calculator that has the app installed, press ENTER also.
If everything’s working right, the receiving calculator should say something like “Receiving… *Zoom500 APP.” If it says “Garbage collecting…” instead, just wait for a while, and eventually it will start receiving the app.
When both calculators say “Done,” press 2nd QUIT on both calculators.
That’s it! To run Zoom Math on the new calculator, press APPS, then ALPHA Z to go to the bottom of the apps list, and then ENTER. If you want to buy a registration key, click here.
