  • Is it OK to copy Zoom Algebra to my friend’s calculator?
  • Yes! On your friend’s calculator, only the Demo Version features of Zoom Algebra will work. These features are useful, and they’re free! After trying the Demo, many people want to upgrade to the Advanced Version. If your friend buys an Advanced registration key on our website, and enters your email address in the “Referrer’s email address” box, we’ll reward you with CASH!*

*Some restrictions may apply. See our Referral Rewards Program for details.

Installing Zoom Math

  • I am having trouble downloading Zoom Math software to my computer. Any ideas?
  • When you try to download Zoom Math software you need to "Save" it to your computer. Do not try to "Open" the file, because there are no programs on your PC or Mac that can recognize it. Once you have saved the file to your computer, use Texas Instruments' TI-Connect software to transfer it to your graphing calculator. Step-by-step instructions are currently available in our online Zoom Algebra Manual.

  • I have limited memory available on my calculator. How do I make more room for the Zoom Math software?
  • Most of our customers find the quickest way to make room for new software on their calculator is to delete apps that are in languages other than their own. Before deleting apps from your calculator, we recommend you confirm that an app is one you do not want or need. One way of doing this is to run the app. Keep in mind, however, that running an app in a different language than your own may also change the language of the calculator's system interface. This may be difficult to reverse, because changing the system's language also changes the language on all menus and lists, including the list of apps. Please contact Texas Instruments at 1-800-TI-CARES (1-800-842-2737) if you need more help on how to run or delete specific apps.

  • How do I get the calculator ID code off of the calculator?
  • If you have already loaded Zoom Algebra onto your calculator, run the app, then hit the "ZOOM" button to see your calculator's ID code. The "ZOOM" button is the middle button just below the calculator screen.

Using Zoom Math Algebra I Edition

  • How do I do cube roots?
  • The current version of Zoom Algebra can't do cube roots or beyond. This is the most requested feature that our customers want, so this feature will definitely be included in our next update, probably in early 2008. You can watch our website for a release date announcement, but we will also email our current registered customers with instructions on upgrading when the time comes.

  • How do I type "<" or ">" to do inequalities?
  • This feature also does not exist in the current version of Zoom Algebra, but will also be included in our next update of the software.
