I.Q. Joe Announces Zoom Math Deal with Texas Instruments

January 30, 2008 (edited and updated on July 23, 2008)

Dear Zoom Math customer,

Here at I.Q. Joe headquarters, home of Zoom Math, we have been swamped with questions from many of you about what is coming next and when it will be here. We have been promising an announcement soon, and now the time has come to make that announcement:

We’ve just signed a contract with Texas Instruments! They will pre-install Zoom Math Starter Edition on all TI-84 Plus Silver Edition calculators, beginning this year.

Our collaboration with TI allows us to release a free App and a low-cost App, both of which will serve as beginning Apps to introduce new customers to the Zoom Math interface. Those Apps will also include some new patent-pending technology, and all of that technology will also be included in a third new App, a major upgrade of Zoom Algebra.

Zoom Math Starter Edition - App4Math

Beginning in 2008, the Starter Edition of Zoom Math will be pre-installed on all TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculators. It will also be known as App4Math, and will appear that way on your calculator's list of Apps. All Zoom Apps, including this one, work on the TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus, TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, and the 84 Plus keypad module of the TI-Nspire. This App is free to everyone and available for download.

Zoom Math Turbo Edition - Zoom Math 100

The Turbo Edition of Zoom Math, also called called Zoom Math 100, will be the intermediate edition between the Starter Edition and the Zoom Algebra upgrade. The price for Zoom Math 100 will be $19.95. It will be released around the end of July, 2008.

Zoom Math 200

Zoom Algebra will be replaced by a major upgrade, Zoom Math 200. Despite the many improvements we are making, its price will remain $49.95. Zoom MAth 200 will continue to be the solution for users at the Algebra I level of mathematics. We expect to release Zoom Math 200 in 2008.

Future Announcements

We will announce specific dates for the release of Zoom Math 100 and Zoom Math 200 as soon as we know them. In addition, if everything goes according to plan, we will continue to release even more advanced editions of Zoom Math throughout 2008 and into 2009. So, you can also keep a lookout for announcements about future versions that will take you through Algebra II, Precalculus, and Calculus.

Thanks to all of you who have shared with us your stories of tests and classes passed with the help of Zoom Math. We are grateful to have been able to help in a small way, and look forward to continuing to help you with more great software for your graphing calculators.

Sincerely,
Jeff Hatch, Founder and President
