Zoom Algebra
version 2.15
To install Zoom Algebra you will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus graphing calculator, and the right TI Connectivity cable for your calculator (It is also called a GraphLink cable or USB cable).
- Before you can install Zoom Algebra from your computer, you may need
to update your calculator's OS or download the latest version of TI
Connect. You can find step-by-step instructions at the following web site (copy and paste the link below to your browser).
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/nonProductSingle/download.html
Follow the first 3 steps from that page and then return here.
- Click here to download "ZoomAlg.8xk" onto your desktop.
- Make sure your calculator is on, and connected to your computer via the cable.
- On your computer, run TI Connect.
- Within TI Connect*, run TI DeviceExplorer. A window should appear:
"TI-84 Plus - TI DeviceExplorer."
- Drag "ZoomAlg.8xk" from your desktop onto "Flash/Archive." Another
window should appear: "Transferring..."
- Wait a while. Soon, you should see a progress bar indicating how much
longer you'll have to wait, or an error message if something went wrong.
- After your computer finishes transferring ZoomAlg onto your calculator,
click on the little + sign next to the word "Applications." You should see
some Apps listed now, including ZoomAlg.
- If everything worked fine so far, then the Demo Version of Zoom
Algebra is on your calculator now.
- To run Zoom Algebra, press APPS. An alphabetical list of applications will
appear. (This will be a very long list on some calculators.) ZoomAlg will
be near the bottom of the list. Press ▲ to skip to the bottom of the list.
Then highlight ZoomAlg and press ENTER.
